We are a family just like yours. We live in your neighborhood, daven in your Shul, and attend the same schools as your children do. In a regular month we can barely make it through the month trying to stretch the salaries both myself and my husband make to cover the myriad piles of bills. When there is a Yom Tov, things become challenging with the many extra expenses that come with preparing for it. B"H we were so excited to celebrate the engagement of our first daughter. As we began to think of the many, many items she would need to set up her new home, we became incredibly overwhelmed at the endless list of things to be purchased. We heard about your organization and made a call. The woman we spoke with was friendly, helpful and made us feel comfortable in this awkward place we found ourselves, asking for help. Words cannot describe the joy with which my daughter, the Kallah, spoke as she left your garage with a trunk loaded with just about everything she would need to start her new home. What a gift, what a Simcha! Words cannot properly describe the immense appreciation that we feel for the Mitzvah of Hachnasas Kallah that you did. May HKB"H repay you many times over and may it be a Zechus for Batya A"H. B'rov Hakaras Hatov, A very appreciative mother of the Kallah.
Dear Yad Batya L'Kallah, We have no words to thank you for what we are to say, You've given us everything needed to send our Kallah on her way. We weren't sure how on earth we would manage to provide, You showered gifts of lavishness upon us with Simcha and with pride. From pots and pans to towels and linens all the way to dishes, From silverware to china, you fulfilled our dreams and wishes. All of this was done with such magnificent, distinguished taste, As if a future home of king and queen was soon to be graced. Your generosity went way above and beyond our imagination, Your devotion to Klal Yisroel is truly an inspiration. We will remember and thank you and think of you forever, For this Mitzvah of Hachnasas Kallah that is truly a cherished treasure. And may the special neshama whom this gemach is named for, Always have an Aliyah in Shamayim for now and ever more. With the utmost Hakaras Hatov
Dear Yad Batya, On behalf of my husband and I, we want to say thank you soooo much from the bottom of our hearts for providing us with so much for our home when we got married! From linens to towels, from pots and pans to cutlery to everything else in between. We are forever grateful! Thank you! IYH very soon we hope to give back to you what you gave us! We thank you so much again. With much appreciation
Dear Yad Batya, Thank you so much for doing so much Chesed for us before our wedding. You were so kind and generous and didn't make us feel embarrassed at all. We learned so much about a selfless Chesed and not embarrassing people. We want to donate to Yad Batya in the future and help other young couples who were in a similar place as us. All your hard work goes to such a special place. We will never forget the kindness, love and hope you showed us. May Hashem bless your organization and your families tenfold. Sincerely, A very grateful couple
Yad Batya L'kallah Yerushalayim helps around 550 Kallahs a year. Kallahs that are approved are sent to a beautiful bed and bath store called *Shehechiyanu Colors. There they are treated with the utmost respect and are given the shopping experience of a regular Kallah. They stroll around with a shopping cart between the shelves and pick out linens and towels that suit their taste. They are given blankets, pillows and quilts. Some Kallahs receive a voucher to Sensations, a lingerie store, where they can again pick out items they need and feel the shopping excitement of a bride. Yad Batya recently opened a branch in Kiryat Sefer run in the capable hands of Friddy Noivirt. There each Kallah receives a set of linen picked out of the many designs sent to the branch location. Hopefully in the future we will be able to expand and enlarge our package in Kiryat Sefer and add more items there as well.
Thank you for all the help you gave my two daughters. Hashem should give you the Ko'ach to continue this amazing Chesed! Kol Tuv
